Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 slices slices of watermelon Look for ripe and sweet watermelon. Opt for the seedless variety if you can find it!
  • 3 slices slices of pickles You could use dill pickles for a tangy flavor or bread-and-butter pickles for a sweeter bite.
  • 1 slice Havarti cheese If you’re not a Havarti fan, try mozzarella or feta.
  • 1 drizzle hot honey Try brands like Bee Harmony or Mike's Hot Honey for the best kick.
  • 1 drizzle balsamic glaze Look for high-quality balsamic glazes for a richer taste or make your own.
  • 3 leaves fresh basil If basil isn’t available, mint can also work wonderfully!

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting two thin squares out of the watermelon. It’s easier to handle without the rind, but it's up to you!
  2. On top of one watermelon piece, layer 3 slices of pickles evenly.
  3. Place 1 slice of Havarti cheese on top—feel free to break it into pieces if it’s too large.
  4. Drizzle on some hot honey followed by a nice drizzle of balsamic glaze.
  5. Lay down 3 fresh basil leaves over the cheese.
  6. Place the second square slice of watermelon on top.
  7. Slice in half if you’re feeling fancy and take a big bite.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh! If storing, keep components separate until ready to serve. Will last in the fridge for about 2-3 hours.
