  2. Make a well in the snow using a large bowl or container filled with clean snow.
  3. Sprinkle a generous layer of salt at the bottom of the well.
  4. Add heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar into the well, then pour in the vanilla extract.
  5. Mix everything together using a spoon or spatula within the snow until it thickens and solidifies (about 3-5 minutes).
  6. Once thickened, spoon the ice cream into bowls or cones and serve immediately.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 24 hours in the freezer.
