- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) if you prefer your dip warm.
- In your blender, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and salt.
- Blend until smooth — this may take a minute or two. You want it creamy without any chunks.
- Spoon the mixture into a bowl: if you’re baking, spread the mix into an oven-safe dish.
- Bake for 10 minutes until it’s warm and slightly golden on top.
- Serve immediately with fresh vegetables for dipping. For a cold version, simply serve without baking!
Notes
Make sure that your chickpeas are at room temperature for easier blending. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of water or more olive oil for a smoother texture. Avoid over-blending as it can cause the dip to become too airy and lose its thickness.
