Preparation
- Steep the Thai tea leaves in hot water for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer into another bowl.
- Add sugar and salt to the strained tea, stirring until dissolved. Allow the tea to cool.
Serving
- For Thailand Style: Fill a glass with ice, pour in 3/4 cup cooled tea, stir in condensed milk, and drizzle evaporated milk on top.
- For American Style: Fill a glass with ice, pour in 3/4 cup cooled tea, add sugar and drizzle half-and-half on top.
Notes
This Thai iced tea pairs beautifully with spicy Asian dishes. For presentation, serve it in tall glasses with colorful straws and garnished with a mint sprig. It can be enjoyed fresh or stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
