Ingredients

Chicken Wings
  • 1 lb chicken wings Look for fresh wings from a local butcher or grocery store. Frozen is fine, just ensure they’re fully thawed beforehand.
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce My go-to is Sweet Baby Ray's for a perfect mix of sweetness and smokiness.
Dips and Sides
  • 2 cups potato chips Choose a sturdy chip like kettle-cooked for that satisfying crunch.
  • 1 cup salsa Fresh salsa enhances flavor like no other, but jarred versions work in a pinch.
  • 1 cup guacamole Homemade is always best.
  • 2 cups vegetable sticks (carrots, celery) A medley of fresh veggies gives a nice crunch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, coat the chicken wings thoroughly with BBQ sauce.
  3. Arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Bake the wings for 40 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  2. While the wings bake, arrange your potato chips on a serving platter and place salsa and guacamole in separate bowls.
  3. Slice your carrots and celery into easy-to-dip sticks and arrange them on the platter.
  4. Once the wings are done, let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy wings, toss them in a little baking powder before adding BBQ sauce. Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Marinate the wings the night before for deeper flavor.
