  • 1 packet active dry yeast Ensure it's fresh for best results.
  • 1 teaspoon sugar Activates the yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Extra virgin for better flavor.
  • 3/4 cup warm water About 110°F for best yeast activation.
Toppings
  • 1 cup pizza sauce Your favorite brand or homemade.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Whole milk mozzarella works best.
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices Classic topping.
  • 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers Adds color and sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives Optional for briny flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix warm water with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and stir until it forms a dough.
  4. Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 30 minutes in a warm spot until it doubles in size.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  7. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese and layer on the pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

For a crispier crust, bake on a preheated pizza stone. Experiment with toppings based on personal preferences.
