Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound chicken wings Look for fresh or frozen wings; if frozen, ensure they're thawed completely.
  • 2 cups celery sticks Crisp, fresh celery adds crunch.
  • 1 cup carrot sticks Sweet and crunchy, they balance the spicy wings beautifully.
  • 1 cup ranch dressing I swear by Hidden Valley; it never fails!
  • 2 cups tortilla chips Buy a quality brand that won't break easily when dipped.
  • 1 cup guacamole Fresh is best, but store-bought works in a pinch.
  • 1 cup salsa A little kick goes a long way; use your preferred brand or whip up a homemade version.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer on a baking sheet. Pat the wings dry with paper towels before seasoning.
  3. Lightly coat the wings with your choice of seasoning or marinade.
  4. Bake the wings for 40 minutes, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.
  5. While the wings bake, wash and cut your celery and carrot sticks. Arrange them attractively on a platter.
  6. In small bowls, pour your ranch dressing, guacamole, and salsa.
  7. Once the wings are done baking, let them rest for 5 minutes before serving with all your sides and dips.

Notes

For best results, marinate the wings the night before. Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge. Reheat in the oven for optimal crispiness.
