Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Use high-quality for best texture.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder Should be fresh for best results.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt A pinch elevates flavor.
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt or Milk Yogurt adds tang; use what you have.
Cooking Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil For frying the flatbreads.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.
  2. Cut in the butter until it resembles coarse crumbs, then mix in yogurt or milk until just combined.
  3. Lightly flour a surface and knead the dough for about a minute until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 4-6 pieces and shape each into a ball, then flatten to about 1/4 inch thick.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  2. Keep warm under a kitchen towel until serving.

Notes

These flatbreads can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
