Preparation
- In a large pot, melt the unsalted butter, marshmallows, and peanut butter over low heat, stirring continuously until smooth and creamy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Remove the pot from heat and immediately fold in the Rice Krispies until fully coated.
- Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish with a little butter or cooking spray. Transfer the mixture and press it down firmly and evenly.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and glossy (about 1-2 minutes).
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the pressed Rice Krispie mixture. Use a knife to gently swirl the chocolate into the treats.
- Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature. Once set (about 30 minutes), slice into squares and enjoy.
Notes
These treats are best stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. You can make them a day in advance.
