Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F (232 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and kosher salt.
- Pour in the buttermilk and stir until mostly combined; be careful not to overwork the dough.
- Gently fold in the drained chopped peaches.
Baking
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Pour the melted butter mixture into an 8x8-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
- Place the dough on top of the butter and gently spread it out to fill the pan's edges.
- In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the biscuit dough.
- Score the unbaked dough into 9 equal squares (3x3 pattern) with a sharp knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Once removed from the oven, sprinkle the remaining sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
Serving
- Serve warm and enjoy! These biscuits are best fresh.
