Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole Fresh Orange Use the juiciest oranges you can find, preferably navel for their sweetness.
  • 2 ounces Vodka Opt for a good quality vodka; brands like Grey Goose or Tito's work beautifully.
  • 1 ounce Triple Sec For a hint of orange sweetness. Cointreau is an excellent brand choice.
  • 3 ounces Lemon-Lime Soda Sprite or 7-Up are great traditional choices, but feel free to go for sugar-free options.
  • 1 slice Orange Wedge for Garnish Adds that extra touch of brightness!
  • 1 piece Maraschino Cherry for Garnish A classic touch that harkens back to cocktail parties of yesteryear.

Method

Preparation
  1. Fill a tall glass halfway with crushed ice.
  2. Pour in the vodka, followed by the triple sec.
  3. Cut the fresh orange in half and squeeze the juice right into the ice-filled glass (about 2 ounces).
  4. Gently pour the lemon-lime soda over the mixture.
  5. Add your orange wedge and maraschino cherry on top, then give your drink a gentle stir to combine.

Notes

For the best experience, ensure your ingredients are chilled before mixing. Always taste before serving and adjust sweetness with more soda or simple syrup if desired.
