  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Ensure butter is slightly cooled before mixing.
For the Filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Room temperature for smooth blending.
  • 1 cup cold milk Whole milk preferred; can substitute with almond milk.
  • 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix Crucial for thickening the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract Use spearmint for a subtler flavor.
  • 3 drops green food coloring Optional for festive color.
  • 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed Homemade whipped cream is also acceptable.
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup Optional for drizzling before serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, combine the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter until evenly moistened. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. Mix the Filling: In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes) using an electric mixer.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Pour in the cold milk, and add the pudding mix, mint extract, and food coloring. Whisk until thickened (approx. 2 minutes).
  4. Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
  5. Fill the Crust: Spoon the filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  7. Serve: Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top if desired, and garnish with mint leaves or crushed Oreos.

Notes

For best texture and flavor, chill the pie overnight. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for about a month. Avoid overmixing when folding in whipped topping.
