  • 1 tbsp lime juice (approximately 1/2 lime) Fresh lime juice is a must—it’s a game-changer for flavor.
  • 4 oz ginger beer Choose a fiery brand like Reed’s or Bundaberg for extra spice.

Preparation
  1. Fill a copper mug (or highball glass) with ice.
  2. Add 2 oz of tequila blanco over the ice.
  3. Squeeze in the juice from half a lime (approximately 1 tbsp).
  4. Slowly pour in 4 oz of ginger beer.
  5. Garnish with jalapeño slices and finish with lime wedges.

Notes

For a decorative touch, rim the glass with lime juice and dip it in salt beforehand. If you have leftovers, store them in the fridge for up to 2 hours.
