  • 2 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice Ensure it’s fresh for vibrant flavor.
  • 2 ounces pure maple syrup Go for Grade A or B for a robust flavor.
  • Crushed ice Keep it handy for chilling your drinks.
  • Lemons, sliced, for garnish A lovely fresh touch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chill your lowball glasses in the freezer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with crushed ice.
  3. Pour 4 ounces of whiskey, 2 ounces of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 2 ounces of pure maple syrup into the shaker.
  4. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  5. Remove the glasses from the freezer and fill them with more crushed ice.
  6. Strain the cocktail mixture into the prepared glasses.
  7. Garnish with a fresh slice of lemon on the rim or float it on top.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a smoother texture, consider double-straining your cocktail to remove pulp from the lemon juice. Avoid over-shaking to prevent dilution.
