  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin adds richness; opt for good quality.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic makes a huge difference.
  • 3 tablespoons honey Use pure honey for optimal flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Low-sodium soy sauce can control saltiness.
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced Adds sweetness and vibrant color.
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced Adds crunch and slight bitterness.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced Use yellow or white for sweetness.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh is best; frozen is acceptable but less crunchy.
  • to taste salt and black pepper Essential for enhancing flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until smooth. Set aside for later use.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Add sliced kielbasa to the skillet and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes per side until lightly browned.
  2. Toss in the bell peppers, onion, and broccoli florets. Cook for approximately 5 to 7 minutes until the veggies are tender-crisp.
  3. Pour the honey garlic mixture over the kielbasa and vegetables, stirring to coat evenly. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

For added depth, sauté garlic in olive oil before adding kielbasa. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
