Preparation
- Crush the small candy canes by placing them into a small plastic bag and using a rolling pin or the back of a spoon to crush them into fine pieces.
- Prepare the rim by pouring some lime juice or grapefruit juice onto a small plate. Dip the rim of a glass into the juice and let the excess drip off.
- Dip the rim of the glass into the crushed candy canes, gently pressing and twisting to allow the candy to stick evenly.
Assembly
- Pour Prosecco or Champagne into the glass until it’s about three-quarters full.
- Top off with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.
- Garnish the drink with a mini candy cane for presentation.
Notes
Serve immediately for the best fizz. You can prepare the candy cane rim in advance and store it in an airtight container.
