Preparation
- In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat until melted and foaming.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Dust the beef liver slices lightly with flour.
Cooking
- Push onions to the side and add the liver slices to the skillet; cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Add the sliced apples to the pan and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth and scrape the bottom to release flavors; let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; can be batch cooked and reheated.
