Ingredients
  

Spices
  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon Look for Ceylon cinnamon for a refined taste.
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger Use fresh-ground ginger for a robust flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg Whole nutmeg can be grated for superior flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice Freshly ground can add extra warmth.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves I recommend buying whole cloves and grinding them.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom Enhanced flavor if freshly ground.

Method
 

Mixing the Spices
  1. In a small bowl, add 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons ground ginger, and 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg.
Adding Depth
  1. Carefully add 1 teaspoon ground allspice, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, and 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom.
Whisk it Together
  1. Using a whisk, mix the spices together until fully combined.
Storage
  1. Transfer your blend into an airtight jar and label it. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.

Be sure to keep spices at room temperature and avoid humidity in your jar.
