Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pour oil on your countertop to prevent the dough from sticking, lay your pizza dough on top and sprinkle with flour.
- Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
- Slice the dough into 23 equal pieces.
- Place a cube of cheese inside each piece of dough, seal, and roll into balls.
- Arrange the dough balls in a tree shape on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Cover the tray with a cloth and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
Baking
- Whisk the egg with water and brush the top of the tree.
- Bake for 20 minutes. If the top isn't golden enough, use the broiler for 1-2 minutes.
- Mix butter, minced garlic, and parsley in a bowl and brush this garlic butter over the hot tree after baking.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers tightly in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to a month. You can assemble the tree a day before baking.
