Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts Opt for organic, free-range chicken for the best flavor.
  • 1 block cream cheese (8 oz) Allow to come to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1/4 cup butter Room temperature helps it blend smoothly into the sauce.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz) Any brand will do; Campbell's is a classic choice.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is best.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Homemade is ideal; low-sodium store-bought works well too.
  • 1 packet dry Italian dressing mix Choose a quality brand for robust flavors.
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta Quick-cooking choice that complements the sauce.
  • Fresh parsley and red pepper flakes (optional) For garnish and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, cream of chicken soup, minced garlic, chicken broth, and the Italian dressing mix. Whisk or use a hand mixer until smooth.
  3. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken, ensuring every piece is well-coated.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
  2. About 15 minutes before serving, boil water and cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  3. Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker with two forks and stir it into the sauce.
  4. Serve the chicken and sauce over the cooked pasta and garnish if desired.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. If you're gluten-free, swap the cream of chicken soup with a gluten-free equivalent. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
