Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 6 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs Look for organic or free-range options for the best flavor.
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter Room temperature for easy melting.
  • 1 tsp Salute seasoning Or your choice of poultry seasoning.
  • Salt & pepper To taste.
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped Fresh is key for that aromatic punch.
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour To help thicken the sauce.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Homemade if possible for rich flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream The creamier, the better!
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Or Piave, for an exquisite twist.
  • Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish) Brightens up the dish visually and flavor-wise.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This is key for achieving that perfectly baked chicken.
  2. Season chicken thighs with Salute seasoning, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  3. Melt 2 tbsp butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken thighs for about 2–3 minutes per side until they are golden brown.
  4. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, melt another 2 tbsp of butter. Add the finely chopped garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute to avoid lumps.
  3. Slowly pour in the chicken broth, stirring until slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the heavy cream and stir well, integrating smoothly with the broth.
  5. Mix in the Parmesan, stirring until it’s fully melted. Adjust with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over each piece.
Baking
  1. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  2. Garnish with fresh dill and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can prepare the sauce a day in advance and reheat it when ready. Variations include using different cheeses or adding vegetables like spinach.
