Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This is key for achieving that perfectly baked chicken.
- Season chicken thighs with Salute seasoning, salt, and pepper on both sides.
- Melt 2 tbsp butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken thighs for about 2–3 minutes per side until they are golden brown.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Making the Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt another 2 tbsp of butter. Add the finely chopped garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute to avoid lumps.
- Slowly pour in the chicken broth, stirring until slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the heavy cream and stir well, integrating smoothly with the broth.
- Mix in the Parmesan, stirring until it’s fully melted. Adjust with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over each piece.
Baking
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh dill and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can prepare the sauce a day in advance and reheat it when ready. Variations include using different cheeses or adding vegetables like spinach.
