Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place each chicken fillet between plastic wrap and pound to about 1/2 inch thick.
- On each chicken fillet, lay 2 slices of ham and 1 slice of Swiss cheese. Season with pepper.
- Roll the chicken tightly from one end to the other and secure with toothpicks.
- Coat each roll in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and roll in breadcrumbs.
Cooking
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry each roll for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- Remove toothpicks and serve hot, optionally with lemon wedges.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months. For best results, reheat in the oven.
