  • 50 grams chia seeds Ensure they are fresh for optimal texture.
  • 60 ml maple syrup or honey Choose according to your flavor preference.
  • 25 grams cocoa powder Opt for high-quality unsweetened cocoa for the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Use pure over imitation for a better flavor.
For Serving
  • coconut whipped cream Homemade is preferred, but store-bought works too.
  • fresh berries Strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries are great options.

Method
 

Preparation and Blending
  1. Combine the coconut milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and vanilla in a high-powered blender.
  2. Blend on high speed for about 1-2 minutes until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
Chill and Serve
  1. Transfer the mousse mixture to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until thickened.
  2. Divide the mousse into serving glasses or bowls, top with coconut whipped cream and fresh berries, and serve cold.

Notes

The mousse can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Flavors deepen over time.
