Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • ½ cup unsalted butter I prefer using quality brands like Kerrygold for an extra-rich flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic – the more pungent, the better.
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Feel free to make your own or look for blends that don’t contain additives.
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika Adds depth; yes, it’s worth it!
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for extra heat – start small and adjust.
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce For a touch of umami.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Fresh juice is best.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnishing and a pop of freshness.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until it’s fully liquid but not browned.
  2. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, constantly stirring until fragrant.
  3. Mix in the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne (if using), onion powder, salt, and black pepper, stirring continuously for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Allow to simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, taste, and adjust seasoning as desired.
Serving
  1. Drizzle generously over seafood, steak, pasta, or use it as a dipping sauce. Enjoy!

Notes

This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat before serving. Experiment with flavors by adding herbs or making it dairy-free with a vegan butter alternative.
