  • 1 package little smokies (cocktail sausages) Utilize your favorite brand for flavor and moisture.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Opt for dark brown sugar for deeper flavors.
  • 1/2 cup bacon, chopped Choose thick-cut bacon for a crunchy texture.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Use natural maple syrup, avoid imitation.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Just a hint to balance the sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, chopped bacon, maple syrup, and black pepper.
  3. Mix the ingredients until evenly combined.
  4. Add the little smokies to the bowl and toss gently until each sausage is well coated.
  5. Transfer the coated sausages to a baking dish in a single layer.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the glaze is caramelized.
  2. Halfway through, stir to ensure even cooking.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
