Preparation
- Boil the water in a saucepan until reaching a rolling boil.
- Remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Allow them to steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and pour the brewed tea into a large pitcher.
- Stir in the blueberry simple syrup and the juice of the lemon.
- Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, about 2-3 hours.
- Serve over ice, garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves.
Notes
Store any leftover blueberry iced tea in the fridge for up to 3 days. The blueberry simple syrup can be made in advance and lasts in the fridge for about two weeks. For a tropical twist, add pineapple juice or slices of seasonal fruit.
