Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a standard loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray. Optionally, line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt, and walnuts. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the wet ingredients: mashed bananas, orange juice, orange zest, sugar, melted butter, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined, taking care not to overmix.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling and Serving
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cool, slice and serve.
Notes
Store Banana Orange Walnut Bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
