- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, sugar, and cocoa powder. Whisk continuously for about 5-7 minutes until the mixture is hot and steaming—not boiling—to prevent scorching.
- Once the mixture is steaming, add in the chopped milk chocolate and dark chocolate. Stir until completely melted and the mixture is smooth, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and bourbon.
- Pour the hot chocolate into two heat-safe mugs. Top generously with mini marshmallows and sprinkle with chocolate curls.
Notes
For best results, let your milk come to room temperature before starting. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
