Preparation
- Set out two small plates. On the first plate, add the apple cider; on the second plate, mix the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Wet the rim of a lowball glass with apple cider; then roll the edge in the cinnamon mixture. Turn to coat evenly. Repeat with the other glass and set aside.
Mixing
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, 8 ounces of apple cider, 2 ounces of lime juice, and crushed ice. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until chilled.
Serving
- Fill each rimmed lowball glass with more crushed ice. Strain the apple cider mixture evenly into each glass.
- Garnish with thinly sliced apples and a cinnamon stick for each glass.
Notes
Use room-temperature ingredients for even mixing. Chilling the glasses beforehand enhances the cocktail experience! You can mix the apple cider and tequila ahead of time and just shake with ice before serving for easy entertaining.
