Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds country style pork ribs Choose ribs that have a nice marbling of fat for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika Adds unbeatable depth of flavor; regular paprika can be used in a pinch.
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used, but cooking time will vary.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Kosher salt is recommended for its texture and flavor balance.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Freshly cracked enhances flavor.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Use your favorite; honey barbecue sauce is recommended for a sweet and tangy taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create the seasoning mix.
  2. Generously sprinkle the seasoning mix over the ribs, rubbing it into all sides.
  3. Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray and preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Carefully place the seasoned ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
Cooking
  1. Cook the ribs for about 20 minutes, turning them halfway through for even cooking.
  2. After 20 minutes, brush on your barbecue sauce and cook for an additional 2 minutes to caramelize.
  3. Check internal temperature; it should reach 145°F (63°C) for safety.
  4. Plate the ribs and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the air fryer for best results. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
