Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 pounds chicken wings (split into wingettes and drumettes) Look for fresh, high-quality wings; organic or free-range options can enhance flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon oil Use olive oil or avocado oil for a healthy alternative. Make sure it’s at room temperature.
  • 2 teaspoons seasoning salt Adjust this to your preference, or use a homemade blend.
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika Smoked paprika adds extra depth of flavor!
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Black pepper Freshly cracked provides the best flavor!

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry to allow for crispiness and let them sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes before cooking.
  3. Place your wings in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the oil over the wings and toss to coat.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the seasoning salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Sprinkle this mixture over the wings and rub it in, ensuring every piece is well-coated.
Cooking
  1. Place wings in the hot air fryer basket in an even layer. Air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes.
  2. After 10 minutes, carefully flip the wings and continue to air fry for an additional 5-10 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy, with an internal temperature of 165°F.
  3. For extra crispy wings, remove half of them and air fry the remaining half for another 4-5 minutes. Repeat with the first batch.
Serving
  1. Serve these wings immediately—hot and delicious. They’ll be the hit of your gathering!

Notes

Pat wings dry for crispy results. Don’t overcrowd the fryer basket. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in the air fryer at 375°F for 5-7 minutes.
