Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 pieces russet potatoes (each about 10oz) Choose firm, blemish-free potatoes for the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Use good-quality extra virgin olive oil; can swap with canola or grapeseed oil.
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt Feel free to jazz it up with garlic powder or seasoning salt.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it heat for about 5 minutes.
  2. Scrub the potatoes under running water to remove any dirt, then dry them well with paper towels.
  3. Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with fine sea salt.
  4. Prick each potato 4-5 times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
Cooking
  1. Place the prepared potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring there's space for air to circulate.
  2. Air fry at 400°F for 30 minutes.
  3. Flip the potatoes using kitchen tongs and continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes until they are buttery soft inside.
Serving
  1. Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer, split them open, and serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Leftover air-fried potatoes can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer for best results.
