  • 500 g minced meat (beef or pork) Grass-fed beef or organic pork recommended.
  • 1 piece onion, diced Sweet yellow onion preferred for milder flavor.
  • 2 pieces bell peppers, chopped Mix colors for added nutrition.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is best for depth.
  • 1 tbsp oil Olive oil recommended.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Freshly cracked preferred.
  • 1 tsp paprika Smoked paprika enhances flavor.
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pan over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil. Give it about a minute to warm up.
  2. Toss in the diced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add the minced meat to the pan, breaking it up as it cooks for about 5-6 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in minced garlic, chopped bell peppers, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the peppers soften slightly.
  5. Mix in the tomato paste, ensuring everything is combined, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with bread or rice.

Notes

Best to use room temperature ingredients for better browning. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
